CARPETTE - To sweep carps under the carpet by Susanna Testa

The project deals with the said “sweep dirt under the carpet” and the play on words between carpet and carp, a common fresh water fish.

Il progetto si ispira al detto “nascondere lo sporco sotto il tappeto” e al gioco di parole tra carpet - tappeto in inglese - e le carpe, il noto pesce d’acqua dolce.

Susanna Testa thinks that design has the function of creating moments of surprise, through an harmonic mix of thoughts, brilliance and beauty. Her works are aimed in telling stories and taking poetry into our everyday lives.
Susanna studied fashion design at the Politecnico di Milano, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degree, gaining full marks. During her master studies she completed her education course at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She is a Ph.D. Candidate at the Politecnico di Milano and works as accessory design consultant and illustrator.

Susanna Testa pensa che il design abbia la funzione di creare attimi di stupore, attraverso un mix armonico di pensiero, ingegno e bellezza. I suoi progetti vogliono raccontare storie e portare la poesia nella vita di tutti i giorni.
Susanna ha studiato design della moda presso il Politecnico di Milano, laureandosi a pieni voti. Durante il suo percorso accademico ha frequentato il Fashion Institute of Technology di New York. Attualmente è dottoranda in design presso il Politecnico di Milano e il suo ambito di ricerca è rivolto allo studio della tecnologia indossabile. In parallelo porta avanti l’attività di consulente creativa e di illustratrice.
