TROPICALIA FRUITS [MANGABA] by Mònica Borra Briansó

Starting from a base of neutral colors, I created a tension between three geometric figures that intertwine and stress, generating a movement which is contrasted by the balance of three shapes that escape the limits of the composition. A play of transparencies and splashes of color, inspired by the yellow fruit Mangaba (typical of the northern region of Brazil), grant a visual rhythm to the whole.

A partir de una base de colores neutros, he pretendido crear un equilibrio entre tres formas geométricas que se entrelazan y se tensionan, generando un movimiento que se origina con la contraposición con tres elementos que escapan de los limites de la composición. Un juego de transparencias y toques de color, inspirados en el amarillo de la fruta Mangaba (típica de la región norte de Brasil) otorgan un ritmo visual al conjunto.

I was born in Barcelona, Spain. I am designer, with a degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Sant Jordi in Barcelona. In the publishing world, my work has focused mainly on graphic design and illustration. Among other interests, I love anything that has to do with architecture, decoration, materials and textures, in short, everything that encompasses the design world. I currently live in Brazil and the diverse cultural and ethnic mixes are my main sources of inspiration.

Nací en Barcelona, España. Soy diseñadora, licenciada en Bellas Artes por la facultad de Sant Jordi de Barcelona. En el ámbito editorial, mi trabajo se ha centrado principalmente en el diseño gráfico y la ilustración. Entre demás intereses, me encanta todo lo que tenga que ver con la arquitectura, la decoración, con materiales y texturas; en fin, todo lo que engloba el mundo del diseño. Actualmente vivo en Brasil y la mezcla cultural y étnica son mis principales fuentes de inspiración.
